Zero trust is a security architecture in which no user, device or network location is trusted implicitly; every access request is authenticated, authorised and continuously validated against policy.
The model responds to a practical reality: with cloud services and remote work, there is no meaningful network perimeter left to defend.
Implementation centres on strong identity, device posture checks, least-privilege access and comprehensive logging rather than on any single product.
