SEO & Website Audit
Sitemap Finder
Most sites don't link their sitemap from anywhere a human would find it. This checks the locations search engines actually look — /sitemap.xml, /sitemap_index.xml and four other common paths — against live HTTP responses.

How it works
- 1Enter a domain (no need for https:// or trailing slash)
- 2We check six common sitemap paths in parallel
- 3Each result shows the live HTTP status, not a cached guess
Who this is for
- Auditing a new client site before deeper SEO work
- Confirming a sitemap deployed correctly after a migration
- Checking whether a competitor publishes a sitemap at all
Frequently asked questions
- What if none of the paths return a sitemap?
- Check the site's robots.txt — many CMSs declare a non-standard sitemap location there via a Sitemap: directive. Our Robots.txt Tester extracts that line automatically.
- Does this work for sitemap index files?
- Yes — sitemap_index.xml and sitemap-index.xml are both checked, which is where most large sites (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow) actually publish their sitemap.
