Crawl Budget
Crawl budget is the volume of pages a search engine crawls on a site in a given timeframe, determined by the site's perceived importance and by how efficiently the server responds.
Budget only becomes a practical constraint on large sites, where wasted crawling on redirects, parameters and low-value pages directly reduces coverage of pages that matter.
Fast responses, clean sitemaps, accurate lastmod dates and disciplined canonicalisation all improve effective coverage.
